The Right Place

I wake up in the morning I get dressed

Have a cup of coffee I want to look my best

I read the paper see the wild fires out west

Started by a park ranger one of the best

Now I can’t stop the wildfire I cannot make rain

The burning landscape too much to plan

But I can lean over  and see your sweet face

And I know I’m in the right place

We’ve got girls and boys fighting in the middle east

To give the boys and girls over here

A little peace

I read the paper somebody dropping bombs every minute

I can’t build a bomb

I would not know where to start

But I can lean over and hear your sweet voice

And I know I’m in the right place
